James Richard Chiles

James Richard "Dick" Chiles, 85, of Paragould, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 in Piggott, Arkansas. Dick was born on January 9, 1935 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to the late James Richard and Iva Sears Chiles. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Germany. Dick later retired from the Dr. Pepper bottling company. He was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Paragould, and a graduate of the University of Missouri. One of his favorite things to do was play golf.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Chiles of the home; brother, Merlin Scott Chiles of Palm Springs, California; daughter Lissa Tabor of Paragould; son, Kevin Thompson of Paragould; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
