Gretta Jean Stimson Jernigan was a member of First United Methodist Church.. A graduate of Arkansas State University, where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority, She was a former teacher in both Missouri and Arkansas public schools. She was a charter member of the Northeast Arkansas Master Gardeners.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J. D. &Stimson and Reba Roberts; father of her children, Marvin Ray Jernigan; son-in-law, Rick Noel.

Survivors include her husband, David Pruett; daughters, Kerry (Greg) Jewison, Jocelyn Noel, Michele (John) French; son, Ed(Becky)Jernigan. brother, Gary (Barbara) Roberts; grandchildren, Rebekah Jewison, Jennifer Hobbs, Matthew Hobbs, Jarrod Hale, Caitlin French, Sean Jernigan. Great grandchildren, Amaya Seals, Harrison Hobbs, Bennett Hobbs, Marion Hobbs; nieces and nephews, Joe Roberts and Rebecca Roberts.
Graveside services will be Sunday at 3:00 PM at Linwood Cemetery with Rev. Chase Burns officiating.
