Glenda Sue Collins

February 22, 1944 — October 17, 2020

On October 17, 2020, Glenda Sue Collins left this earth to join her husband, Richard R. Collins, in peace. She was born on February 22, 1944, to the late Rosa Arzetta Stevens and Orlan Hyde in Paragould, Arkansas, where she spent much of her childhood caring for her siblings, Jean Lawson (husband, Dave) of St. Charles, Missouri, and Jerald Hyde (wife, Linda) of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and her late brothers, Waymon and Kenneth of Paragould, Arkansas. Not a day went by when she wasn’t trapping a rabbit for dinner, pranking her brothers and sister, or taking care of every need they had.

Her talent for homemaking continued when she welcomed her son, Keith Allen Collins (wife,
Debbie) into the world and gave him all the love, biscuits, and spankings his heart could
handle. After raising her son, Glenda completed her GED and a year of college before moving
on to adore her grandchildren. Brittney Bryant (husband, Matthew), Megan Norris (husband,
Reid), and Kimber McMillon (husband, Chad) were never without the treasures of her Christmas cookies, letters in the mail, and her passion for cheating in games of dominoes. Greatgrandchildren, Carson McMillon, Dash McMillon, Evelyn Bryant, and soon-to-be Baby Norris, knew and will know her love through endless stories of her tenderness, spunk, and humor. Glenda’s capacity to care was eternal and everyone around her felt it, including the dear stepsons, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends she left behind.
