Geraldine Monk

Geraldine Monk, 76, of Brookland, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022. She was born on September 29, 1945, in Lepanto, Arkansas to the late Roscoe Gilbert Talley and Vina Marie Guthrie Morris. Geraldine enjoyed crocheting, reading, camping, fishing and watching soap operas. Most of all, she loved her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Edward Talley; sister, Mary Ashcraft; son-in-law, Robert William Henry; and step-father, Wayne Morris.

Survivors include her husband, Henry Leon "Hank" Monk of the home; daughter, Connie Henry of Brookland; grandchildren, Lacey Wheeler (Jonothan) of Jonesboro, Andrew Henry (Destiny) of Manila, and Matthew Henry (Briana) of Marked Tree; great-grandchildren, McKenzie Page, Eli Page, and Emma Elder; siblings, Carol Deeter, Jacky Dale Talley, Betty Fretwell, Barbara Jean Talley, and Tommy Ray Talley; and three step-grandchildren, Chloe Wheeler, Ricky Wheeler, and Lexi Wheeler.

Visitation will be held from 1-2 pm on Tuesday in the Heath Funeral Home. The service will begin at 2:00 pm with Randy Page officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery. Andrew Henry, Matthew Henry, Jonothan Wheeler, Eli Page, David Page, and Nick Hensley will serve as pallbearers. Al Fretwell and Bill Henry are honorary pallbearers.
