Freeda Faye Tomlinson, a beloved member of our community, peacefully passed away on December 22, 2023, at the age of 82. She was born on February 16, 1941, in Marmaduke, Arkansas, to the late Troy and Arizona Wright, whose memories she cherished.
Faye's commitment to caring for others led her to a fulfilling career in healthcare as a home health nurse. She exemplified the true essence of a caring professional, offering comfort, support, and healing to those in need. Her unwavering dedication and selflessness made her a cherished and respected member of the healthcare industry.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Faye was a woman of faith, finding solace in her Baptist beliefs. She drew strength and inspiration from her spiritual convictions, which guided her throughout her life and provided comfort during challenging times.
Faye also had a passion for nature and found joy in cultivating a vibrant garden. Her green thumb led to bountiful harvests, and she particularly relished the experience of picking fresh strawberries. This simple pleasure reflected her appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us and the ability to find happiness in life's simplest pleasures.
Left to honor her memory are her loving sons, Stevie Tomlinson and Craig Tomlinson, and her adored grandchildren, Cody Burton, Jeremy Tomlinson, and Blaine Walker. She is also survived by her cherished great-granddaughters, Samantha Tomlinson and Piper Tomlinson.
To celebrate Faye's life, a funeral service will be held at 1 PM on January 2, 2023, at Heath Funeral Home. Friends and family are invited to gather together from 12 until 1 PM to share cherished memories, comfort one another, and pay tribute to a remarkable woman who brightened countless lives. Faye will be interred at Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Freeda Faye Tomlinson will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her compassionate spirit, unwavering faith, and love for her family will be cherished and remembered as her legacy lives on.
