Fred Raymond Holtzman

June 18, 1950 — February 2, 2024

Fred Raymond Holtzman, a devoted husband, beloved father, cherished friend, and respected community member, passed away on February 2, 2024, in Paragould. He was born on June 18, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, to his loving parents Fred Lee and Eleanor Sampson Holtzman.

A man of unwavering devotion, Fred's heart belonged to his soulmate, Janice Holtzman, with whom he shared a blissful union for over three decades. They sealed their love in a sacred marriage on October 26, 1990, promising to stand by each other's side through all of life's joys and tribulations.

With a mind sharp as a tack and a spirit brimming with determination, Fred embarked on a successful career as an engineer and manager at Anchor Packaging, where he dedicated 23 years of his life. His passion for his work extended beyond the confines of the office, as he tirelessly applied his expertise to any task he deemed fit. Fred possessed an unrivaled ability to fix anything that came his way, which earned him the admiration and respect of all who knew him.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Fred held an immense affection for our four-legged companions, particularly his rescue dogs, Clarey and Meiomi. He cherished their unwavering loyalty and took great pleasure in their presence, exemplifying the kind and compassionate soul that Fred embodied.

Motorcycle enthusiast and seeker of open roads, Fred reveled in the freedom and exhilaration that his beloved Yamaha motorcycle provided. As often as he could, he traversed vast landscapes, finding solace in the wind against his face and the roaring engine beneath him.

Fred's unwavering faith in God sustained him throughout his life, and he was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He found solace and guidance in his faith, which served as a steadfast anchor during both solace and storms.

As we gather to honor and remember this remarkable man, we celebrate the cherished memories he leaves behind. Fred's legacy will forever be imprinted upon the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His humble demeanor, fierce determination, and unconditional love touched the lives of all, reminding us of the profound impact one person can make.

Fred Raymond Holtzman is survived by his loving wife, Janice Holtzman of Paragould, who stood by his side, providing unwavering support and love throughout their journey together; his caring daughter, Kristy (Jan Yates-Holtzman) Holtzman of Sycamore, Illinois; his dear niece who was more like a sister, Terry Ebert of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; and his sweet cousin who was more like a sister, Sherrill (Mike) Muller of Monroe Center, Illinois.
