Flora Virginia "Lyon" Michael

Flora Virginia "Lyon" Michael, 88, of Paragould, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. She was born June 3, 1921 the daughter of the late James Richard and Sarah Jane Poston Lyon. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Jefferson Michael, Sr., daughter Leona J. Simmons, grandson, Michael Todd Castle, sisters, Shirley Jean Lyon, Beverly Christine Cheshire, and brother, Charles William Lyon. She was a homemaker and a member of First Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Earl "Buddy" and Linda Michael, Jr.; daughter and son-in-law: Barbara J. and Bill Simmons, all of Paragould; son-in-law: Jim Simmons of Lafe; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, sixteen great great grandchildren, two expected great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time at Heath Colonial Chapel, where her life will be celebrated at 2:00 PM . Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
