Farrell Don Highfill, 71, of Paragould, died Monday at his home. He was a retired used car dealer. He was the son of the late Bruce and Lola Highfill. Donnie was also preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Wyatt; brother, Lindy Highfill; and nephew, Chad Highfill.
Donnie was an avid NASCAR fan and never missed watching the races on TV. In his younger years, he was a race car driver himself and drove stock cars. He enjoyed playing cards with a few of his friends every week for quarter mania. He enjoyed going deer hunting with friends and family. Donnie found the love of his life when he was a teenager. They have been together for 48 years and had a family together that he loved to be with.
Donnie is survived by his loving wife, Dodty; daughters, Ange (John) Toombs, Destin, FL, Tasha (Allen) Lamb, Austin, AR, and Melanie Gassaway, Paragould; sister, Beverly (Gary) Biggs, Paragould; sister-in-law, Eve Highfill, Paragould; brother-in-law, John Wyatt, Paragould; sister-in-law, Sandra (Tim) Stickel, Niceville, FL; brother-in-laws, Ed Maddox and Larry Clark, both of Paragould; seven loving grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
