Eugene "Monk" Williams

Eugene James "Monk" Williams, 79, of Paragould, passed away Wednesday at his home. He was born in Beech Grove, was a retired Mechanic who loved to hunt and fish and was an outdoorsman. Monk was a member of Greater Vision Ministries and was the son of the late Eli and Ouida Butler Williams. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Edna Jean Condray Williams; daughter, Cindy Thrasher; grandson, Justin Griggs; sisters, Bonnie Hanger and Erma Holcomb; brothers, Samuel Williams, Dewey Williams, and Johnny Williams.

Survivors include daughters, Tammy Horn, Tina Hall and Debbie Stanley; special friend, Beverly Wright; sister, Jane Paulette; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6-8 at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Sunday at 1:00 at Heath Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Ethridge officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Brandon Rice, Shannon Gill, Dexter Thompson, Lynn Williams, Marty Williams and Matt Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Stanley and Gene Horn.
