Ernest Lloyd Sheppard

Ernest L. Sheppard, 82, of Paragould, passed away Monday at AMMC. He was born on January 7, 1937 to the late Charley and Nellie Sheppard. Ernest was a member of Gainsville Church of Christ and retired from Monroe. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joy E. Cooper Sheppard; in-laws, H.W. Pete and Hilda Cooper; brother, Charles Sheppard and brothers-in-law, Toy Cooper and Wayne Wilder.

Survivors include son, David A. Sheppard, of Paragould; daughter, Cheryl K. (Terry) Bishop, of Westchester, Illinois; chosen family, Brad, Trina and Chase Brewer, of Paragould; sisters-in-law, Marcella Cooper, of Paragould, and Shirley Cooper Wilder, of Willow Springs, Illinois; and brothers-in-law, James Cooper, of Knob, and Dale Cooper, of Ozark, Illinois.

Visitation will be Friday at Heath Funeral Home from 9:00-11:00 am. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Private burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to The Children's Home or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
