It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ellis Regnald Henson, age 72, on June 20, 2026, in Lafe, Arkansas. Born on November 17, 1953, in Paragould, Arkansas, Ellis leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and unwavering faith.
Ellis was a devoted member of St. John's Lutheran Church, where his relationship with Jesus held profound significance in his life. He exemplified what it meant to be a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy Henson; his daughter, Jamey (Mark) Eaton; his son, Ryan (Katelynn) Henson; his cherished grandchildren, Megan Eaton, Carla (Brendan) Cline, Logan Eaton, Devin Eaton, Auriannah Henson, Kayleigh Henson, Khara Henson, and Gabriel Henson; his three great-grandchildren, Karter Eaton, Kamryn Cline, and Josephine Stevens; his sister, Lou Holland; and several nieces and nephews.
Ellis was preceded in death by his father, Duey Henson; mother, Myrtle Henson; son, Dallas James "Corky" Henson; his brothers, J.D. Henson and Donnie Henson; his sisters, Tressie Holland and Zettie Withrow; and his two unborn angels, and three half-brothers.
Ellis was known for his creative spirit as an amazing artist. He crafted beautiful arrowheads and other intricate items, including pipes, showcasing his unique talent and passion for artistry. In addition to his artistic endeavors, he found joy in fishing, tending to his vibrant garden, and watching the bunnies that frequented his flower beds. A true lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed spending time in nature, finding peace and solace in its beauty.An avid movie enthusiast, Ellis had an extensive collection and possessed an impressive knowledge of films, often captivating friends and family with stories about the movies he cherished. His love for music was equally profound; he was a devoted fan of Ozzy Osbourne, whose music resonated deeply with him.
A funeral service to honor Ellis's life will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at St. John's Lutheran Church. Public visitation will commence at 2:00 PM, followed by the service at 3:00 PM. Pastor Aaron Neugebauer will be officiating. Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating the remarkable life of Ellis Regnald Henson, whose kindness, creativity, and love will be profoundly missed.
