Douglas Gene "Doug" Osburn, 76, of Trumann, passed away Monday, February 22, 2021. Doug was born on January 13, 1945 in Lawrence County to the late Oscar "Edward" and Lorene Oldham Osburn. He was a manager of retail supermarkets and insurance sales. During his career, he made many lifelong friends and enjoyed working with the public. Doug enjoyed fishing and sports. He was a longtime Cardinals and Razorback fan. Doug was of the Baptist faith, and as a young adult, he sang in gospel quartets. Doug is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Mikle Crawford; step-son, Ryan Gibson; brother-in-law, David Thomas; and sister-in-law, Jean Osburn.
Survivors include his loving wife of twenty-one years, Judy Osburn, of the home; daughter, Brooke Bramlett and family, of Walnut Ridge; step-daughters, Holly (Charlton) Cupp, of Jonesboro, and Raquel Crawford, of Piggott; brothers, Darrell Osburn, of Walnut Ridge and David Osburn, of Clanton, Alabama; sister, Debbie Thomas, of Henderson; and three grandsons that he dearly loved, Ryan Crawford, Ross Taylor, and Shiloh Cupp.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 12-1 pm at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm at Heath Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Clinton officiating. Burial will follow at Kennett Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jason Osburn, Jordan Smith, Joel Jones, Chad Morgan, Gary Newman, Jr. and Lonnie Gibson, Jr.
Family and guests are asked to practice social distancing and to wear a mask as recommended by the CDC.
