Dorothy Louise Clark

March 10, 1938 — February 12, 2024

Dorothy Louise Clark, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, peacefully left this world on Monday, February 12, 2024. Born on March 10, 1938, in Dunklin County, Dorothy touched the lives of all who knew her with her compassionate heart and unwavering love.


Throughout her life, Dorothy's dedication and hard work were evident in her role as a bookkeeper for Sam's Town Casino. But it was her selflessness and genuine care for others that truly defined her character. She had a unique passion for helping others, and her love extended beyond her immediate family. Known for her green thumb and love of gardening, Dorothy would often lend a helping hand in anyone's yard, bringing beauty and joy to all she touched.


In the early 1980s, Dorothy married Ronald Clark. The two of them shared countless beautiful memories and treasured moments throughout their journey together until his passing in 2009. Dorothy is also preceded in death by her parents, Hershel and Elsie Hill; daughter-in-law, Vickie Hamlett; four brothers; and three sisters.


Dorothy's family held a special place in her heart. She cherished her children, Dennis Hamlett and Curtis (Shirley) Hamlett. Her love for them was immeasurable, and she found endless joy in the presence of her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dorothy also leaves behind two sisters and a brother.


To honor Dorothy's life and bid her farewell, a graveside service will take place at Greene County Memorial Gardens on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 1:00 pm. Friends, family, and all who have been touched by Dorothy's kind spirit are invited to attend the ceremony at 2901 Highway 135 North in Paragould, AR.


Although Dorothy's physical presence may be gone, her love and spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Her legacy of compassion and selflessness will continue to inspire and guide us all. May she rest in eternal peace.
