Dorothy Evelyn Greuel, 97, of Paragould, passed away Sunday at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was born to the late Russell and Lucinda Gladish Campbell on April 19, 1924. Dorothy married the late Stanis L. Greuel on August 30, 1943, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Paragould. She worked at Ed White Shoe Factory, Emerson Electric, and Brown Shoe Company. Dorothy enjoyed sewing, but she was always proud of her garden. If it could be grown, Dorothy could grow it. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Bill Greuel and Stanis Earl Greuel; brother, Sonny Campbell; sisters, Emma Lou Clark and Betty Pickens; and son-in-law, Larry McKinney.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Mary McKinney of Jonesboro, Pat Harrell of Round Rock, Texas, and Theresa and Keith Oltmann of Union, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Judy Greuel; brother, Henderson "Buck" Campbell of Eureka, Kansas; sisters, Doris Gragg of LaPier, Michigan, Anna Bell Cribbs of Paragould, and Opal Watkins also of Paragould; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday morning from 9:30-10:30 at Heath Funeral Home. A funeral mass will begin at 11am on Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Paragould. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
