It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Allan "Donnie" Brasher, who left this world on June 30, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on January 18, 1954, in Lafe, Donnie lived a full and vibrant life in the community he cherished.
Donnie graduated from Greene County Tech in 1972 and later embarked on a successful career as a plumber and pipe fitter, dedicating himself to his craft with unwavering passion. His skilled hands not only shaped pipes but also nurtured a profound love for creativity through painting. Throughout his life, he took joy in transforming canvas and wood into beautiful works of art, enriching the lives of those lucky enough to witness his creations.
A devoted family man, Donnie is survived by his son, Craig (Jacqueline) Brasher; daughter, Tracy (Greg) Leone; and his cherished grandchildren, Isabella Leone, Emily Leone, Kate Brasher, Chesney Brasher, Logan (Aubree) Shannon, and Clara (Wes) Jernigan. He is also survived by his siblings, Teresa (Monte) Gist of Tennessee, Leslie (Rhonda) Brasher of Texas, Lisa (Danny) Hoskins of Paragould, Tim (Jennifer) Brasher of Wisconsin, and Chris (Amy) Brasher of Paragould; sister-in-law, Marilynn Brasher; and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allan, Jr. and Lucille Tritch Brasher, and brother, Phillip Brasher.
Donnie was known for his zest for life, which included a love for exercising, working on his car, and a playful interest in playing the lottery. His spiritual growth began at St. John's Lutheran Church, and as an adult, he continued his faith journey at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Paragould. He will be remembered not only for his artistic talents and craftsmanship but also for his warmth, humor, and love for his family and friends.
To honor Donnie's life, the family will hold visitation at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 9-10 AM. A funeral service will begin at 10 AM, officiated by Pastor Kirk Neugebauer. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Jacob Smalling, Bobby Messer, Brandon Freeman, Danny Hoskins, Clint Gist, and Jeremy Gist, each holding a special place in the life of Donnie's and his family.
As we gather to celebrate Donald Allan Brasher's remarkable life, we invite all who knew and loved him to join us in remembrance and reflection.
