Denny Joe Bishop

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Denny Joe Bishop, age 63, who departed this life on August 15, 2026. Born on June 27, 1963, A 1981 graduate of Mills High School in Little Rock, Denny was a cherished son of the late George and Charlene Bishop and a beloved member of his family.

Denny's life was transformed seven years ago when he devoted himself to a relationship with Jesus Christ, a pivotal moment that profoundly impacted his outlook and spirit. His faith was central to his existence, and he found immense joy in daily Bible studies and viewing TBN, cultivating a strong connection with the Lord that brought him peace and purpose throughout his life.

His dear cousin, Pamela Skoog, shared in this spiritual journey, as they exchanged Bible verses daily, inspiring one another with their mutual love for God and support through life's challenges. Denny's kindness and empathy radiated in everything he did, making him a beloved figure in the lives of those who knew him- especially his close friends Doug Parchman and Pam Ellis.

Denny dedicated his talents to his trade as a house painter, where he applied his skills with commitment and pride. Although he faced the challenge of epilepsy which impacted his ability to drive, he reveled in the freedom of riding his bicycle to the Dollar Store, cultivating friendships with the employees and brightening their days with his warm smile and friendly demeanor.

In his younger years, Denny was passionate about baseball and enjoyed the thrill of water skiing, activities that brought him joy and a sense of adventure.

Denny Joe Bishop will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His devotion to God, family, and community will continue to inspire those left behind.
