It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Debra Jean "Debbie" Russell, who left this world on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on August 24, 1966, in California, Debbie spent her childhood in the warmth of a large family before making her way to Arkansas, where she created a loving home in Paragould.
Debbie was a dedicated housekeeper at Belle Meade Nursing Home, where she found joy in caring for others. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her job-she spent countless hours babysitting little ones, always finding delight in their laughter and innocence. Debbie cherished her family immensely. She valued every moment spent with them, and her love for them was evident in everything she did.
An imaginative soul, Debbie found solace in puzzles and expressed her creativity through crafting. She had a particular fondness for making colorful posters with sharpie highlighters, and she had a collection of baby dolls that brought her joy. Music was another passion of hers, providing the soundtrack to her vibrant life.
A proud Christian, Debbie's faith was her anchor and guided her through life's ups and downs. She touched the lives of those around her with her kindness, creativity, and unwavering love.
Debbie is survived by her children, Opal Russell of Memphis, Carl Russell, Jr. of Paragould, and Robert (Rhonda) Russell of Lafe; daughter-in-law, Anna Russell; mother, Shirley Wiseman; grandchildren, Christian, Kat, Seth, Natalie, Alonzo, Cyle, Teri, Jordon, Chucky, and John Russell; four great grandchildren; siblings, Beverly Williams, Tammy Decker, Joycee Franklin, Shena Williams, Jack Lansdown, Regina Wright, William, Wiseman, Richard Wiseman, Anthony Chamberlain, Deana Lansdown, and Jody Lewis; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Hershel Wiseman, and sister, Diane Williams.
Friends and family are invited to gather for a graveside service in memory of Debbie at Providence Cemetery in Lafe on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 1:00 PM. There, they will celebrate her life and reflect on the beautiful moments shared.
Though our hearts ache with her absence, we will carry her spirit with us always, cherishing the laughter, love, and memories that she graciously shared.
