Deborah "Debby" Joanne Looney, a beloved member of the Paragould community, passed from this life on August 10, 2024, with her children by her side. Born on October 3, 1956, in Paragould to the late Raymond and Nileane Drope, Debby brought joy and warmth to all who knew her. After graduating from Marmaduke High School in 1974, she dedicated herself to a career in retail sales, leaving a lasting impact on all those she served during her time at Gamble Furnishings.
Known for her vibrant spirit and unwavering kindness, Debby was cherished by her family and friends. She was a caring mother to her children, Eric, Jennifer, and Sarah. Debby's love extended beyond her immediate family, as she made an effort to reach out to all her relatives each morning, brightening their days with cheerful messages and lots of emojis.
Debby had a remarkable memory, never forgetting a name or a face. Her ability to navigate through organized chaos amazed those around her, always finding exactly what she needed amidst the clutter. In her leisure time, Debby enjoyed exploring antique stores, flipping through magazines, and expressing her love for golf and trout fishing, activities she always wished she could find more time for.
A devoted Baptist, Debby found solace in her faith and shared her light with the world around her. Her presence will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Debby leaves behind her loving children, Eric (Terri) Reddick of Paragould, Jennifer (Aaron) Matthews of Centerton, and Sarah (Sonny) Dill of Manilla; grandchildren, Emma Grace (Jaren) Farmer, Brookes Reddick, Sperry Matthews, Declan Matthews, and Jackson Wheeler; sister, Donna Jernigan of Alma; brothers, Dale (Tonya) Drope of Marmaduke and Bruce (Misty) Drope of Paragould; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Douglas Drope; and nephew, Hunter Drope.
