David Allen Kerr, known affectionately as "Dave," passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at St. Bernard's Medical Center, at the age of 76. Born on October 13, 1949, in Saint Louis, Missouri, Dave was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, whose spirit and warmth left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
A proud graduate of Berkeley High School in 1968, Dave went on to carve out a successful career in the restaurant industry. He owned and operated Pizza Palace in the Paragould Plaza, as well as Ken's Pizza in Piggott and Rector. His passion for service continued even after closing his restaurants, as he dedicated over 20 years to Utility Trailer. In his retirement, he found joy in working for Focus, Inc., where he delighted in driving buses for students, cherishing the daily interactions he had with them.
Dave had a myriad of interests that brought joy into his life. He loved riding his lawnmower, often taking leisurely spins around the neighborhood. He found happiness in the simple pleasure of playing checkers, and his passion for model trains was evident in the entire room he dedicated to meticulously set up his trains and tracks. Each day, he looked forward to the warmth of "coffee shop talk" with his close friends, moments that reflected his vibrant personality and love for connection.
Dave is survived by his two daughters, Cindy Kerr and Michelle Tulgetske; his grandchildren, Bridget (TJ) Brickell, David Hall, and Megan, Lauren, and Olivia Tulgetske; and his great-grandchildren, Jesse Brickell, Ashton Morris, Aiden Morris, Myla Brickell, Jackson Brickell, Kimber Brickell, and Jordan Cart. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends who cherished his kindness and zest for life. Dave was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Karen Kerr; daughter, Chris Kerr; and granddaugther, Angel Kerr.
Funeral services for David Allen Kerr will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Heath Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until noon. A funeral service will commence at 12:00 PM, with burial to follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
In honoring his life, we remember Dave for his love of family, his dedication to service, and the joy he spread wherever he went. He may have left this world, but the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
