Darrell Dickson, 70 , of Paragould passed away Thursday at Regional One Medical Center in Memphis. Mr. Dickson was born in Paragould, a veteran on the Vietnam war receiving the purple heart, and a member of Rosewood Baptist Church. He had a strong passion for drag racing. Mr. Dickson was the son of the late Clinton and Dorothy Hopkins Dickson and was also preceded in death by one brother Mike Dickson and nephew Clint Dickson.

He is survived by his wife Mary Fleetwood Dickson of the home; son, Tony ( Staci) Dickson of Paragould; daughter, Shena (Ryan) Dickson Lavespere of Paragould; four grandchildren, Chance Dickson, Abbie Dickson, Caden Lavespere and Payton Lavespere; beloved granddog, Captain Teemo Dickson.

Visitation will be Monday from 5-8:00 pm at Heath Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Tuesday at 10 am with Rev. Heath Vines officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery under the direction of Heath Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Tritch, Maurice Hamilton, Jim Woods, Bill Cone, Larry Moore, Daniel Clark, Frank Curtis and the Weekly veterans group members.

Lasting memorials as asked to consider the Wounded Warrior Project.
