Dallas "Bud" Gregory, 82, went to his Heavenly home on January 28, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. He was at home, surrounded by family.
Bud was born August 23, 1941 to Sam and Mary Gregory in Stanford, Arkansas. He was the youngest of seven children. He is preceded in death by his mother and father; sisters, Geneva Martin, Berta Shaver, and his twin sister, Alice Gregory; brothers, Wally Gregory, Ken Gregory, and Leland Gregory.
He leaves behind his two daughters, Jeri Ann (Donnie) Lowe and Christy (Kyle) Marshall; six grandchildren, Cody Crabtree and wife Tab, Callie Pruett and husband Jacob, Matthew Hay, Paige Jackson, Josh Hay and wife Mackenzie, and Sam Marshall; thirteen great-grandchildren, Dalton, Hailey, Pru, and Axl Crabtree, Madalynn, Abel, and Dallas Hay, Luke, Kenzi, EJ, and Toby Jackson, Cruz Bell, and Jameson Hay; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends too numerous to name.
Bud lived a rich and full life. He was known as a hard worker and "helper" to many. He enjoyed helping others and did so whenever he possibly could. He was blessed with knowledge and skills of working with his hands. As a master plumber and electrician, he could fix or build anything. Before his health declined, you could find him working day and night. Even when he was unable to physically work, you would find him using his knowledge and talents to help others get work completed.
Bud was a rock to his family and many friends. A master at sarcastic humor and witty replies, he loved to laugh and cut up. Bud also enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, and being outdoors. He always said if you're feeling lost, turn to the Lord and nature and you will find your way through. He loved the Lord and his family. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren playing board games, birthday parties, and going to as many ballgames, school plays, and events as he could. He will be missed more than words can express.
In typical Bud fashion, he requested a simple burial with family and friends. He was not one to be in the spotlight. There will be a graveside service at Linwood Cemetery Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 11 AM with Larry McFadden officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Cody & Dalton Crabtree, Matthew & Josh Hay, Sam Marshall, Keith Metheny, Luke Jackson, and Jacob Pruett. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Spencer and Pete Cancilla.
Memorials in honor of Bud may be made to 7th & Mueller Church of Christ, Children's Home in Paragould, and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
