Corum "Jay" Acuff went home to be with his savior on March 22, 2026. A quiet and gentle man, Jay was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed his beloved land at Norfork while he was able. He was a faithful member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church and loved his church family.

Jay worked at L.A. Darling Company for over thirty years prior to his retirement. He then started his own stump grinding and lawn care business, which he enjoyed until his health failed.

Jay is survived by his loving wife, Diane ; his children, Jody Acuff, and Natalie (Benny) Moss; his grandchildren, Carson and Reese Acuff, and Maverick Moss; his sister, Diane (Jim) Boyd; brother in laws, Harold (Sandi) Boyd, and Kendall (Felicia) Boyd; sister in law, Joy (Jim) Cunningham and a host of nephews and nieces.

Jay was preceded in death by his parents, C.J. and Elnora Acuff.

The family will welcome friends to celebrate Jay's life on Thursday, March 26, at Heath Funeral Home. A time of visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, leading into the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Services will be led by Pastors Dale Noe and David Flanrey, with burial to follow at Linwood Cemetery.
