On December 22, 2025, we lost a vibrant soul, Colton Andrew Dees, who left us far too soon at the tender age of 21. Born on November 2, 2004, in Little Rock, Colton grew up in Mounds, where he continued to light up the lives of those around him. A true testament to the saying, "old soul in a young man's body," Colton was a remarkable blend of curiosity, creativity, and passion.

From the moment he could wield a wrench, Colton was drawn to all things mechanical. As a self-proclaimed "Backyard Engineer," he delighted in taking apart and rebuilding everything from cars to tractors, immersing himself in the world of diesel technology. At 18, he joined Baker Implement in Piggott, where his mechanical prowess flourished, and his love for machinery found a perfect outlet.

Colton's love for music was nothing short of infectious. He had an uncanny ability to transition between genres effortlessly, always sharing his passion with those around him and belting out the words to every song that played. Whether it was country or rock, you could find him embedded in sound, lighting up every room with his extensive collection of speakers. His unique touch with blue-tooth light bulb speakers ensured that the rhythm of life and laughter never skipped a beat in his presence.

In addition to his mechanical talents, Colton had a passion for carpentry, building his own workshop and dreaming of expanding it. He was always creating, dreaming, and planning, reflecting a life lived with purpose and ambition.

Colton is survived by his loving mother, Christy Dees; his future bride, Breanna Green; his brothers, Michael and Gregory Damron; his grandparents, Jim and Joyce Biby; and his aunts and uncles, Tonya (Jason) Martin, Scotty (Joanne) Brandon, and Carolyn Dees; his cousin, Cody (Madison) Brandon; family friend, Gary King; along with his many other uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. His vibrant spirit and infectious energy will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was preceded in death by his father, Mike Dees.

A visitation will take place Friday, December 26, 2025, from 6-8 PM at Heath Funeral Home.
In celebration of Colton's life, a graveside service will be held at Reddick Cemetery on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM.

As we gather to honor Colton, let us remember his zest for life, his love for music, and his endless curiosity. May we take a moment to celebrate the wonderful memories we've shared and the joy he brought into our lives. Rest in peace, Colton. You will forever be in our hearts.
