Cloyce Gibson

Cloyce Albert Gibson, 92, passed from his life peacefully on September 16, 2024, in his home. He was born in Greene County on March 9, 1932, to the late Sherman and Opal Mae Mangrum Gibson. He married the love of his life, Patrecia, on November 6, 1953.

Cloyce worked for the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department for 35 years. He retired at age 55 to work at Rogers' Greenhouse to help with maintenance and deliver plants to flower shops. He, also, helped his brother-in-law repair furniture that was bought at estate sales. He loved wood working, gardening, and working in his yard. He liked to hunt rabbits and quail. Cloyce loved spending time with his family and playing with the grandkids.

Cloyce leaves behind his children, Darlene (Chris) Rogers and Farrell (Kelly) Gibson; grandchildren, Maegan Rogers, Alan (Julie) Rogers, Katelyn (Jacob) McMillon, Lauren (Matthew) Rowe, Lunden (Dallas) Moss, and Emma Gibson; great grandchildren, Hudson, Annistyn and Adaline Rogers, Ezra, Slate, and Silas McMillon, and Noah and Blakely Rowe; brother, Wyman (Janelle) Miller; and special family friend, Merry Paskel.

Cloyce is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 70 years, Patrecia; baby sister, Caroline; and brothers, Gerald Gibson and Thomas E. Miller.

A visitation will be Sunday afternoon, September 22, 2024, at Heath Funeral Home from 2-4 pm. The funeral service will be held at Heath Funeral Home on Monday, September 23, 2024, at 10:00 am with Art Smith and Michael Meredith officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Jacob McMillon, Matthew Rowe, Dallas Moss, Luke Arnold, Alan Rogers, and Bart Rowe.
