Bonnie Lee Farmer, 84, of Marmaduke, passed from this life on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born in Marmaduke on December 8, 1938, to the late Edward and Ruby Barnhart Harness. Bonnie married the love of her life, Charles Farmer, on October 6, 1955. They remained by each other's side for 61 years until his passing in 2017. Bonnie was a member of Union Central Church of Christ. She worked as an LPN at Arkansas Methodist Hospital, Home for the Golden Years, and Greene Acres Nursing Home. Bonnie loved her family, and she enjoyed spoiling her great grandchildren. In her earlier years, she loved to play the piano. Bonnie enjoyed trips to Mountain View where she would listen to the banjos playing folk music. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Junior Farmer; parents, Edward and Ruby Harness; and brothers, Billy and James Harness.
Bonnie is survived by her children, Sheila (Danny) Garmroth, Steven (Tammie) Farmer, and Deana Banning; grandchildren, Christy (Michael) Lentz, Bethany (Jake) Trahan, Brittany (Shaun) Laxton, Derek Farmer, and Blaine Banning; and great grandchildren, Natalie (Ty) Finch, Parker Lentz, Layton Trahan, Landree Trahan, Aubrey Laxton, and Kinsley Laxton.
A memorial service will be Thursday evening at 6 pm at Union Central Church of Christ with Blaine Banning officiating.
