Betty Lorene Simpson, a cherished mother, grandmother, and sister, left this world on August 22, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on January 11, 1951, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Betty spent her life as a dedicated homemaker in Jonesboro, Arkansas, where she created a warm and loving home for her family.

Betty was known for her love of country and gospel music, and she found true joy in spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Her fondness for shopping and exploring flea markets often led her to special finds, but her greatest treasures were always the moments shared with her family. She will be remembered for her kind spirit, gentle nature, and unwavering support for those she loved.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Syble and James Jennings; husband, Arvil Simpson; son, Brian Story; brothers, Norman Jennings, William Jennings, and Paul Jennings; and daughter-in-law, Amy Story.

Betty is survived by her two sons, Ronnie (Chelle) Story and Raymond Story; her sister, Charlene (Jimmy) Griffin; her brother, Bill Jennings; and her adored grandchildren, Ashley Anderson, Patience (Colby) Bynum, Blaise Story; and great-grandchildren, Avery and Amelia Agee, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts.

A visitation honoring Betty's life will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Heath Funeral Home.

As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the beautiful impact Betty had on all who knew her. She will be profoundly missed but lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
