Bert Edward Morgan, a devoted retired Marine and cherished member of the Paragould community, passed away on October 18, 2024, at his residence in Paragould, AR, at the age of 88. Born on June 28, 1936, in Paragould, AR, Bert was a proud American citizen with a remarkable spirit that touched the lives of many.

Bert had a distinguished career with the United States Marine Corps, where he served diligently before retiring. Throughout his retired life, Bert found immense joy in exploring the United States with his camper, reveling in the beauty of Oregon, Florida, and Arizona. His zest for life was truly reflected in his love for camping, where he eagerly connected with fellow travelers, forming bonds and friendships that lasted through the years.

Bert was a loving father to his son, Paul Morgan, and a dear brother to Royce (Hilary) Morgan and Mary Charles. His legacy of kindness and generosity will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, including his partner, Ava Mae Evans and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bert was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Morgan; his parents, Jack Morgan and Maudie Morgan; sisters, Wanda Johnson, Ellen Wilcox, Eva McClung, and Dawn Harris; and brothers, William Pierce, Harold Morgan, and Joe Dunivan.

A graveside service to celebrate Bert Edward Morgan's life will be held at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland, AR, on Monday, October 21, at 1:00 pm. 

Though Bert may have departed from this world, his legacy of love, warmth, and adventurous spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in eternal peace.
