Bennett "Ben" Darrell Holder

Bennett "Ben" Darrell Holder, a loving husband, father, and friend, passed from this life on January 13, 2024, at the age of 66. Born on August 24, 1957, in Jonesboro, Ben was the son of the late Darrell and Betty Holder.

Ben spent most of his life in Paragould, where he attended Paragould High School and graduated with the class of 1975. Though he didn't complete higher education, Ben was known for his eagerness to learn and continuously pursued knowledge throughout his life.

On March 20, 1993, Ben exchanged vows with his beloved bride, Jodie Statler, in a heartfelt ceremony at the 7th & Mueller Church of Christ. Their love and companionship were unwavering throughout their years together.

Ben was a dedicated, hardworking supervisor at Monroe, where he made a lasting impact on his colleagues and mentored many within the manufacturing industry. Throughout his career, he displayed strong leadership skills and a commitment to excellence in all that he did.

Beyond his professional achievements, Ben had a passion for various hobbies. He found solace in the serenity of bass fishing and the excitement of shooting guns. He collected coins with great enthusiasm. His collection told tales of history and served as a testament to his appreciation for artistry.

A sports fanatic at heart, Ben cheered fervently for the Atlanta Braves. The replica brick from their stadium proudly displayed in his home was a testament to his loyalty. He also avidly supported his local teams, the Memphis Grizzlies and the Arkansas Razorbacks, finding joy in the thrill of the game.

An ardent music lover, Ben had an unwavering affection for the Beatles. Their timeless tunes provided a soundtrack to many cherished moments in his life. His love for music transcended generations and became a reflection of his vibrant spirit.

Ben leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever be cherished by his bride of 30 years, Jodie; his daughter, Valerie (Wesley) Smithee; his cherished aunt, Mary Hibbard, his dear mother-in-law, Carmeleta Statler; his loving sisters-in-law, Rhonda Clayton and Jan Holder; his fur babies, Abby and Sadie; and nephews and nieces, John (Misty) Holder, Alan Holder, Devin Holder, Kerrie (Jeramy) Martin, Lillah & Camden Martin, Aaron Clayton, and Lane, Luke, Levi, and Krissy Clayton. Ben was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard "Rick" Holder; and father-in-law, Joe Statler.

The funeral service to honor Ben's life will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 3 pm at Heath Funeral Home with Rev. David Stallings officiating. The visitation will be from 2-3 pm. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. Pallbearers are Carl Jones, Allen Walker, Rick Cure, Wayne Blount, Tim Wilcox, and John Holder.
