Barbara Lawrence

Barbara Lynne Lawrence, born on July 17, 1964, in Highland Park, Illinois, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026, in Paragould, Arkansas, at the age of 61. She was a beloved daughter, sister, and mother whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.

Barbara will be remembered as the heart of her family, where gatherings were often held at her home, filling the space with laughter, love, and cherished memories. Her unwavering devotion to her family was exemplified in her role as a caregiver, particularly during her mother's declining health, where she selflessly provided support and compassion.

A lifelong animal lover, Barbara also adored her cats and dogs, who were spoiled and cherished as integral members of her family. Her nurturing spirit was evident not just in her caregiving but in every aspect of her life.

She is survived by her three beloved sons: David Rhoades, Daniel Rhoades, and Coylton Rhoades. She is also survived by her sisters Betty Jean Foster, Constance Tye, Deborah Dedmon, and Michelle Jenkins, as well as her brothers Herbert Dedmon, Jr. and James Dedmon. Each of them will hold her memory dearly as they navigate a world without her presence.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Dedmon, Sr.; mother, Doris Dedmon; and son, Jesse Rhoades.

Barbara will be deeply missed and forever cherished in our hearts.
