Anna Faye May, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away June 8, 2025, at her home in Walcott, Arkansas, at the age of 89.
She touched many lives with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. She loved nothing more than to be surrounded by her family and loved ones. One of her most cherished activities was traveling with her love of over 70 years to South Padre Island, Texas, and getting to bring a multitude of keepsakes and treats to their family and friends. She retired from the Greene County Sheriff's Department and also worked for the City of Paragould.
Before her failing health, her pastime was making beautiful quilts and sewing. She also loved to watch her hummingbirds on the patio and enjoy her vibrant, colorful flowers by their pool.
Faye was born in the Alexander community. She graduated from Greene County Tech High School and was as a devoted member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Faye is preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Myrtle Wright, her siblings, Wanda Griffith, Bob Wright, Betty Wilhite and twin brother Kenneth Wright.
She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years Paul Dean May; her children, Kim (Ed) Bird of Little Rock, Kevin May, Melanie (Terry) Smith of Walcott; and her grandchildren, Amy (Drew) Finkbeiner, Audri (Tad) Smith, Morgan (Kelly) Jackson, Natalie (Seth) Parsley, and Clay (Cori) Smith. Great grandchildren include Mae Finkbeiner, Parker Kocsis, Teegan Smith, Trace Smith, Tinlee Smith and her pride and joy, Mac Eugene Smith.

Service will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Walcott on Thursday, June 12, at 2 PM, with Bro. Rhyne Putman and Bro. Mike Blackwood officiating. The family will receive friends at a visitation at Mt. Zion on the same day, beginning at 1 PM. Faye will be laid to rest at Mt. Zion Cemetery after the service. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Austin Miller, Johnny Distretti, Harold Diggs, David Gibson, Mark Poe, and Jonathan Wright.
