Agnes Murel Hawkins

Agnes Murel Hawkins, 93, of Paragould, died Tuesday at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was the daughter of the late Arby and Margie Houston. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Oris Hawkins, and sisters, Wayfu Tallian and Margaret Kelly. Agnes is survived by two daughters, Elena Garbin, Chico, CA, and Doris Wilmoth (Gary), New Johnsonville, TN; brother, Glenn Houston, Jonesboro; grandchildren, Dean Garbin, Chico, CA, Michelle Garbin (Christian Cobb), Hawthorne, CA, Carissa Burkhead (Barry), New Johnsonville, and Talon Wilmoth, Paragould; great grandchildren, Allison Burkhead and Jeff Burkhead, New Johnsonville, Lilly Wilmoth, Ethel, AR, and Brooklynn Garbin, Chico; and great great granddaughter, Madison Burkhead, New Johnsonville. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 3pm at Cudd Cemetery under the direction of Heath Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Scudder officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to East Side Baptist Church (Senior Adult Ministry) in Paragould.
