William Thomen

SMS William E. Thomen, Jr., 91, Conway, formerly of Paragould died Saturday in Conway. William served in the Navy during WWII and completed his military career in the Air Force, serving for a total of 27 years. He was the son of the late William E. and Pearl M. Davis Thomen. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Goldia; step-son, Jack Owen; three sisters and seven brothers. He is survived by his step-son, Carl Owen (Freda), Conway; granddaughters, Carla Blackwell, Ellen Ethridge, Patricia Sullivan; four great grandchildren; two great great grandsons; one great great granddaughter; five nieces; seven nephews. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00-1:00 with the funeral immediately following at Heath Colonial Chapel with Brother Rick Ethridge officiating. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
