Wanda Lou Gramling Clifton

October 21, 1928 — September 21, 2016

Wanda Gramling Clifton, 87, of Evening Star, was surrounded by her family when God called her to her heavenly home Wednesday. She was a homemaker and a member of Evening Star Church of Christ. She loved to spend time with her family. Wanda enjoyed quilting, sewing, singing, and playing multiple instruments. She loved canning fruits and vegetables from the garden. She will always be remembered for her cooking, especially her fried potatoes, beans, hot chocolate, and homemade rolls. Wanda was the daughter of the late William Clyde and Cora Adams Gramling. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, John Earl Clifton, and siblings, Sylvia Adams, William J. Gramling, Walter Lee Gramling, Wallace Cletus Gramling, and Barbara Rawls.

Survivors include her daughters, Taun (Jimmy) Smith, Stanford, and Lynn (Archie) Henson, Evening Star; son, Keith (Becky) Clifton, Evening Star; grandchildren, Jonatha Clark, Shane (Liz) Henson, Taunya (William) Sisco, Shannon Henson, Clifton (Kristen) Orick, Shayla (Shannon) King, Megan Clifton Mitchell, and John Clifton; great grandchildren, Colby Henson, Colten Henson, Beau Sisco, Tanya Curry, Cord Henson, Jocelyn Clark, Shealynn Clark, Tristan Sisco, Emily Clark, Chase Orick, Archlyn King, Jaiden Henson, Chet Orick, Jaxson Mitchell, Ayresten King, and Lincoln Baird; great great grandchildren, Laney Curry, Aria Henson, Cope Sisco, Cinch Henson, Aubrey Henson, Rigney Sisco, ReinsLynn Henson, and August Ray Price; and sister, Janice Cox, Paragould.

Visitation is Saturday from 6-8 pm at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral is Sunday at 2 pm at Heath Colonial Chapel with Richard Durham officiating. Burial will be in Greene County Memorial Gardens. Wanda's grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, Don and Charlene Johnson, and Jess and Dixie Brown. Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Arkansas Children's Hospital.
