Vonnie Mae Simpkins

Vonnie Simpkins died Monday, December 16, 2013 at Arkansas Methodist Hospital. Vonnie was born in Rural Dunklin County to William and Annie Dillard Key April 11, 1939. Early in life Vonnie was a migrant farmer. She met her husband Donald Simpkins in Flint Michigan, where she lived until they moved to Arkansas after Donald retired. She lived out the rest of her life in Paragould where she enjoyed gardening and her grandchildren. Mrs. Simpkins is preceded in death by her son, Richard Davis, step-sons, Mark Simpkins, Steve Simpkins and Danny Simpkins, and step daughter, Donna Vicki Simpkins. Mrs. Simpkins is survived by her husband, Donald Wayne Simpkins, sons, Darian Simpkins and his wife Debbie of Paragould, Roy Simpkins and his wife Christy of Jonesboro, Roger Davis and his wife Sherry of Walcott, daughter, Brenda Ramthun of Paragould, step sons, Don Simpkins and his wife Carol of Flint, Michigan, Dennis Simpkins and his wife Tracy of Blairsville, Georgia, step daughters, Brenda Davis and her husband Robert of Mt. Morris Michigan, Tonya White and her husband Jerry of Flint, Michigan, Sandra Reip and her husband Tim of Flint, Michigan. Services will be 1 PM Thursday, December 19 in the Heath Colonial Chapel with Eric Newberry officiating, burial will follow in the Clarks Chapel Cemetery.
