Violet Marie Hampton

Violet Marie Hampton Age 77, passed away at home on February 25, 2008. She was born April 3, 1930 in Kennett, MO to Joe and Sarah Ella (Brown) Smith. She married Bill Hampton in 1954 and they moved to Michigan in 1964, where she worked for Michigan Bell Telephone until her retirement in 1986 with 27 years of service. She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God and later Lowell Assembly of God. Vi was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Lisa Morrell; her parents; and five siblings. She is survived by her husband, Bill; children, David (Shelley) Hampton, Glenn Hampton, Steve Hampton, Marilyn (Jim) Acker and Theresa Smith; grandchildren, Joe Hampton, Monica Hampton, Sarah (Derek) Kilpatrick, Melissa Richard, Chad Richard and Cassie Hampton; great-grandchildren, Nova, Stephanie, Olivia, Jayden and Caden; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, February 29 at the Heath Colonial Chapel with Reverend Kim Bridges officiating. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
