Velba J. Spencer

Velba Jean Spencer, 80, of Jonesboro, formerly of Paragould, died Monday at Ridgecrest Nursing Home in Jonesboro. Velba was a homemaker and an avid Razorback and Cardinal fan. She graduated from Oak Grove High School and was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Spencer; parents, John and Alta Brewer Pickens; brother, Doyce Pickens,

Survivors include daughters, Bridget (Kirk) Williamson of Jonesboro and Sonya (Wade) Hodge of Little Rock; grandsons, Derek (Cheyenne) Williamson, Zachary, Daniel and Michael Hodge.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00-1:00 P.M. at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 P.M. in Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. Glen Putnam officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wade Hodge, Kirk Williamson, Derek Williamson, Zachary, Daniel and Michael Hodge.
