Sharon Kay Ashcraft

Sharon Kay Ashcraft, 65, of Paragould, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 14, 2012, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born November 4, 1946 in Fayetteville, North Carolina the daughter of the late Reverend Dewey and Virginia Clifton Burke. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis Audell "Red" Ashcraft, step daughter, Patricia Lynn Ashcraft, brothers, Terry Lynn and Dewey Clifton Burke, parents-in-law: Odie and Mattie Ashcraft. Sharon worked for over 20 years at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in housekeeping and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Jonesboro. She loved sewing, quilting and embroidering. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law: Jennifer and Tim Miller, Sherry Bowden and her fiance, Steve Hanley; son and daughter-in-law: Rickey, Sr. and Judi Bowden, all of Paragould; grandchildren: Destiny Bowden, Rickey Bowden, Jr. and Daniel Miller; sisters and brothers-in-law: Karon Sue and Jerry Smith of Lake Wales, Florida, Kathrine Elizabeth and Rodney Slaughter of Orlando, Florida; Donna Jean and Donnie Brooks, Patricia Darlene and Tom Clapp, all of Lake Wales, Florida; numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Thursday at Heath Funeral Home. Her life will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Thursday at Heath Colonial Chapel with brother Doug Ferris officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery. Pallbearers are David Ashcraft, John Helms, Phillip Crum, Perry Greenway, Phillip Keeling and Lynn Heler.
