Sandra Dee "Sandy" Ford, age 57, of Paragould, died Thursday, October 27, 2011 in Jonesboro. She was born Sharon Wilson in Strong, Arkansas on January 13, 1954 to the late Embry and Paula Potts Wilson. She was a sibling to 16 brothers and sisters. Sandra was adopted into the loving family of parents Grady and Wanda Davis, and sister Sharon Houston, of Paragould on August 10th, 1963. Sandra married Stephen Ford on March 16, 1979 and they have enjoyed sharing life's journey together for the past 32 years. Sandra was a 1973 graduate of Paragould High School. Following graduation, Sandy worked as a nurse's aide for the Paragould Home for the Golden Years. She has been a dedicated employee at Emerson Electric Company for the past 22 years. Sandra was a very kind hearted family member and friend that loved sharing with all people and she never missed an opportunity to acknowledge her appreciation and love of others, especially with her detailed attention to all holidays, birthdays, or other special occasions shared by those around her. Sandra enjoyed spending time in the outdoors and she held a special place in her heart for viewing wildlife and spending time with her many pets. Sandra enjoyed feeding and photographing birds in her yard and abroad, and she leaves behind countless photos of her many experiences. She is preceded in death by three sisters. Sandra is survived by her husband; Steve Ford; parents: Grady and Wanda Davis; sister: Sharon Houston; special nephew, Jason Houston; brothers: Billy Ray Wilson and his wife Chris of Red Cloud, Nebraska, Gary Wilson of Omaha, Nebraska, Jim Bob Humphrey and wife Betty of Russellville, James Phillips of Belton, Texas, John Phillips and his wife Shelly, of Flynn, Texas, Randy Wilson and his wife Dorothy of Arcadia, Louisiana, and Danny Wilson of Grady, Arkansas; six sisters, Mary Lou Glenn of Little Rock, Priscilla Smith and her husband Don of Arcadia, Louisiana, Dovie Wilcoxson and her husband Bruce of Red Cloud, Nebraska, Gwen Gennings of Searcy, Arkansas, Tammy Brady of Gosnell, Arkansas, and Martha Phillips and her husband Larry of Amarillo, Texas and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday at Heath Funeral Home. Her life will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Monday at Heath Colonial Chapel with Darrell Austin officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Knot Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jimmy Slatton, Wayne Singleton, Harvey Milton, Jesse Ford, Brian Ford, Chris Ford, and Darrell Ford.
