Samuel Lee Hays

Samuel “Sammy” Lee Hays, 51, of Paragould, died Thursday at his residence. Sam was of the Baptist faith and was an Insurance Salesman. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard “Dick” Hays. Survivors include his wife, Cathy “C.J.” Hays of the home; son and fiancé, Tyler Hays (Courtney Clark) of Jonesboro; mother, Barbara Hays of Paragould; brother, Dickie (Lisa) Hays of Hernando, MS; daughter, Jenny (Bryan) Bennett of Paragould; nephew, Jacob Hays of Hernando, MS; and grandchildren, Max and Riley Kate Bennett. Visitation will be Saturday 6 - 8 PM at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Sunday at 2 PM at Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. Tracy Archibald officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain Home Cemetery, Paragould. Pallbearers will be Tim Roswell, Jerry Buck, Brad Beasley, Stephen Pace, Scott Tyner, Gary McCord, Terry Burcham and Jerry Buck, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Chief Curtis Davenport and members of the Greene County Rescue Squad; Bryan Buck and the Old Golf Gang.
