Rudy D. Stone

Rudy D. Stone, 83, of Paragould, passed away Saturday at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. He was the son of the late Ruth Watson Stone and Orville Stone. Rudy was retired from General Motors after thirty-two and a half years of service. he was also a retired bus driver for both the Paragould and Greene County Tech school districts. In his spare time, Rudy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, telling a good joke, and even filling out peoples taxes for free. Also proceeding him in death are brothers, Ural Stone, Raymond Stone, and Ralph Stone; sister, Odessa Ellis; son-in-law, Loyd Stump; and grandson, Michael Stump.

Survivors include son, James Stone, of Paragould; daughters, Susan Stone, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Twyla (Richard) Spurlock, Ruth Stump, and Debbie (Anthony) Morris, all of Paragould; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday night from 6:00-8:00 pm at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at noon on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at New Friendship cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jim Stone, Tim Stone, Noah Morris, Jason Stump, Daniel Clifton, and Dallas Stone.
