Roberta J. Pemberton

Roberta "Bobbie" Pemberton, 79, Paragould, died Monday, May 10, 2010 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. She was born June 30, 1930 in St. Charles, Missouri, the daughter of the late Robert and Mildred Goforth Screeton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Dee Pemberton, who died fourteen years ago on the date of her death and an infant. Bobbie had a daycare in her home, loved to babysit, collected angels and loved to listen to the police scanner. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law: Linda and John Lawrence; Patty Johnson; son and daughter-in-law: Ronnie and Linda Pemberton, all of Paragould; sister: Joan Ligbel; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Helen and Jim Rowe, June Pemberton; grandchildren: Tim, Matthew, and Joe Lawrence, Tony Pemberton, Josh Johnson, Keeley Taylor, Melissa Barlow; eight great grandchildren; special adopted families, Amy Wynn and Angie Cupples and their families. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, at Heath Funeral Home. Her life will be celebrated at Calvary Baptist Church, 1:00 PM, Thursday, with Reverend Rick Boling officiating. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Robbie Wynn, Chris Wynn, Dean Scroggins, Danny Jernigan, Jeff Cupples, Shane Barlow and Walter Forbis. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
