Richard Hammersley

Richard Lee Hammersley, 54, of Paragould, passed away Monday at his Residence. He was born in Annapolis, MD. He was a retired handyman who loved to camp and fish. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines. Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Margetta Ford Hammersley.

Survivors include wife, Marla of the home; two daughters, Kayla (Matt) Mullins of Pargould, Jill (Dyllan) Mayfield of Bryant; grandson, Silas Mullins and grandson on the way Sawyer Lee Mullins; sister, Debbie Hammersley Ward of Paragould; brother, Charles "Chuck" Hammersley of Oklahoma; two nieces, Tasha Pillow and Blair Metheny; nephew, Troy Metheny; two great nephews, Austin Agee and Case Agee.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 12 - 1 pm at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 in the chapel with Rev. Tracy Archibald officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers are Matthew Chappell, Garrett Chappell, Mike Thompson, Joe Wayer, Keith Metheny, and Shannon Woodard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Troy Metheny and Matt Pitcher.
