Rev. Ivan Geary

Rev. Ivan Geary, 81, of Paragould, passed from this life on Thursday, March 31, 2022. He was born in Flint, Michigan, on June 12, 1940, to the late Irving and Othelia Wilda Geary. Although he worked 33 years as a minister, he served God and others many more years than that. In addition to his parents, Ivan was preceded in death by his brothers, Ervin, Allen, and Ricky Geary.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Joyce; daughter, Susan Sumner of Paragould; grandsons, Eric Sumner of Georgia and Jonathan Sumner of Colorado; and sisters, Edith Lovett, Donna Garrison, and Alice Slone.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5-7 at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral is Tuesday at 10am at the Church at Paragould with Rev. Chris Bass, Rev. Glen Goodwin, and Rev. Paul Brintley officiating. Burial is in Linwood Cemetery. Pallbearers are David Simmons, Dalmer Simmons, Jeremy Johnson, and Tyson Tanner.
