Penny Sparks

November 3, 1957 — June 15, 2014

Prentice (Penny) Irene Steele Sparks, 56, of Paragould, passed away June 15, 2014, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Mrs. Sparks was born in Lapeer, MI on November 3, 1957, and worked at Pizza Inn in Paragould for 25 plus years. She is preceded in death by her mother Rose Carolyn Daughtry Murray, and her two brothers, Ricky Allen Steele and John Earl Steele. Survivors include her husband of forty years, Frankie Allen Sparks; son, Troy Allen Sparks; daughter Misty Rose Sparks Ellis; four grandsons, Jeffrey, Hunter, Dillon and Colton Sparks. She is also survived by her birth mother, Violet Austin of Paragould; sisters, Linda Forkum of Paragould, Ann Davis of Arlington, TN and Vickie Ward of Hot Springs, AR. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved her dearly. Penny’s family would like to thank everyone who attended fundraising and gave generously to benefit her cause. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 P.M. at Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. Rick Ethridge officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Hunter Sparks, Joe Forkum, Don Davis, David Braddum, Jason Ray and Nathan Whitt.
