Patsy Norman, a cherished mother and retired federal employee, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 Brentwood, Tennessee. She was born on July 6, 1935, in Paragould, Arkansas, to Roy & Flossie McCoy Cox. Patsy peacefully departed from this world surrounded by love and her family.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Flossie Cox, husband Dewey Norman, brother James Cox, sisters Virginia Peters and Mary Steinbeck. Patsy is survived by her son, Gregory Norman (Lauren), Granddaughter Rachael Conklin (Curt), Grandson Bryan Norman (Suzanne), and Great Grandchildren Miles Norman, Daphne Norman and Kaley Durley. She is also survived by a sister, Geraldine Stearns of Detroit, Michican, as well as several nephews and nieces in the Cox family.
Patsy was a woman of grace and kindness, known for her unwavering commitment to her family and her career. After completing high school, Patsy dedicated her professional life as a federal employee. Her remarkable work ethic and dedication held true throughout her years of service. Despite her demanding career, Patsy cherished her role as a mother and wife. Patsy's family meant the world to her as shown by her unconditional love, support, and guidance. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all the lives she touched
Patsy was an avid reader and kept at her disposal her own personal library. She found solace and enlightenment within the pages of her favorite books. Patsy also followed the Kansas City Chiefs football and St. Louis Cardinal baseball.
In her final years, Patsy resided in Brentwood, Tennessee, where she enjoyed being close to her family. However, she always remained connected to her hometown of Paragould, Arkansas. It is there where she will be eternally laid to rest next to her husband Dewey Norman.
Visitation for Patsy will be held at Heath Funeral Home on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 4-5 PM. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Heath Funeral Home starting at 11 AM on Saturday, January 13, 2024. Officiating will be Steve Whisler. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery.
