Pastor Thelma Jean Johnson

Pastor Thelma Jean Johnson, 74, of Paragould, passed away Wednesday at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was the daughter of the late Rex and Violet Roberts Lawrence. She was a homemaker and the pastor of the Church of Living Water. Thelma Jean enjoyed cooking, singing, and spending time with grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by her husband, James Wegner; infant children, Eddie Wayne and Teddy Lane Wegner, twin brothers, Luther and Louis Lawrence; sister, Virginia Thomas.

Survivors include son, Jeremy Wegner (Dessira), of Paragould; daughter, Shelly Burch (Paul), of Paragould; sisters, JoyceAnn Martin, of Jonesboro, Dorothy Lynn Lawrence, of Paragould, Rilo Lawrence, of Jonesboro, and Roberta Bush, of St. Louis; brother, John Mark Lawrence; grandchildren, Destiny Wegner, Emily Wegner, Andrew Wegner, Joseph Johnson, Wesley Burch, James Burch, and Timothy Burch.

Visitation will be Friday night from 6:00-8:00 pm at Heath Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Saturday at 2:00 pm at Bowman cemetery in Lake City with Rev. Danny Hall officiating. Procession will leave the funeral home at 1:30 pm. Pallbearers will be Elvis Clark, Jerry Clark, Ronnie Clark, Stephen Lawrence, Charles Roberts, and Michael Chastain.
