Ora L Acord

Ora (Dimple) Loreta Acord, born Feb 12, 1922 in Marmaduke Arkansas, died April 13, 2018. She worked for GM on the assembly line in Detroit Michigan until retirement then moved to Doniphan Mo. When her husband of 60 years, Thurman (Slim) Valentine Acord passed in 2006, she moved to Terra Haute, IN.
She was also preceded in death by siblings : Blanche Reynolds, Halowene "Hallie," Dover , Vermal Daniel Reynolds, James Willard Reynolds, Avery Lee Reynolds, Ila Windola ( Gwen) Rushing, Martha Ozena Brooks, RivaLou Gertrude Campbell, Verd H. Reynolds, and Don Scott Reynolds.
She is survived by her son Dennis Acord , Grandson Eric Acord as well as several great grandchildren. Her remaining siblings are sister-in-law , Norma Reynolds of Fredericktown, MO, Toney G. Reynolds and wife Sybil of Roswell, NM, Teddy R. Reynolds and wife Billie of Madera, CA, Joisa Wagener of Smith, NV, Sister-in-law , Margaret Reynolds of Kerman, CA, and numerous nieces , nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews.
She was feisty, unique and fiercely independent. As many who loved her claimed – she was one of a kind!
Graveside services will be Friday at 10:30 A.M. at Harvey's Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Kim Bridges officiating.
