Norman Gail Pitcher, 78, of Paragould, died Monday, May 12, 2014, at his home in Paragould. He was born September 29, 1935 in Delaplaine, Arkansas, the son of the late E.C. and Annie Pitcher. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Glen, Ben, Vondia, Cleo, Leorn, and Wilburn Pitcher and sister, Hazel Summers. Norman retired from Emerson Electric Company and was a member of West View Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, was an avid Cardinal Baseball fan and loved being around his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife: Bonnie Pitcher of the home; son: Cleveland (Avery) Pitcher of Yellville; daughter: Anna (Joey) White of Paragould; brother: Frank Pitcher of Walnut Ridge; sister: Clara Mae Stevens of Paragould; grandchildren: Holly Pitcher of Paragould, Travis (NaTosha) White of Jonesboro, Valerie (Bufford) Newberry of Delaplaine; great grandchildren: Calleigh Newberry, Cache Newberry, Bryson Gunner White, and Caroline White. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, at Heath Funeral Home. His life will be celebrated at Heath Colonial Chapel at 1:00 PM, Friday, with Reverend Marc Reeves and John Lane officiating. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
