Nita Ethel Bowden

Nita Ethel Bowden, 99 years and 7 months of Ozark, MO died July 22, 2016, at Ozark Nursing and Care in Ozark. She was born April 16, 1917, in Brookland. She retired from the dietary department at Arkansas Methodist Hospital. Nita was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oles Bowden, son, Oles Dewayne Bowden; daughter, Barbara Bowden; her parents, Walter Scott and Ethel Horton; 5 sisters; and 4 brothers.

Survivors include daughters, Laveda (Thomas) Wood of Rockford, IL and Bonnie (James) Talley of Nixa, MO; 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 9-10:30 am with funeral to follow at 10:30 am on July 25, 2016, at Heath Funeral Home in Paragould with Rev. Joel McMasters officiating. Burial will be at New Friendship Cemetery in Paragould. Pallbearers will be Jim Manthei, Jimmy Manthei, Joey Manthei, James Talley, Matt Sales, and Michael Tarry.
The family request memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
