Mettie "Jean" Thompson

December 31, 1933 — June 5, 2017

Mettie "Jean" Thompson, 83, of Paragould, passed away Monday at Greene Acres Nursing Home. She was a lifetime resident of Paragould, retired from Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in the housekeeping department and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her family. Jean was the daughter of the late Clyde and Eula Mae Taylor Boozer. She was also preceded in death by son, Jerry Wayne Thompson, daughter, Kristina Kay Taylor, six brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Gary and Terry Thompson, both of Paragould, seven grandchildren Kim Price, Sarah West, Wade Thompson, Kevin Roberts, Sarah Jane Clark, Bridgette Prince and Garrett Brown; fifteen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter

Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 pm at the Heath Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 10 am Friday at Pruetts Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating. Lasting memorials are asked to consider the Pruetts Chapel Cemetery Fund, 4002 McDaniel Road, Paragould, Arkansas, 72450.
